Description

American Traveler is seeking a GI/Endoscopy Technician with at least 2 years of strong inpatient tech experience and BLS certification for a hospital-based day shift role.

Details

• Work in a hospital GI/Endoscopy unit
• Day shifts are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4x10 hours per week
• Weekday call from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM and weekend call from Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
• On-call required approximately 6 times per 6-week schedule, including one weekend
• Procedures include bronchoscopy (with and without robotic assistance), colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and EUS
• Patient care includes both standard and specialty GI/endoscopy cases
• Scrub color required is light green

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years GI/Endoscopy Tech experience in an inpatient setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to assist on specialty procedures including ERCP, EUS, and bronchoscopy
• Flu vaccination required
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have strong GI/Endo Tech experience

Additional Information

• Support physicians and nurses during the full range of GI and endoscopy procedures
• Return staff must have at least one year separation from prior employment
• Candidates must be flexible regarding potential lack of a formal interview process
• Training modules are to be completed prior to start and during orientation as needed
• Holiday and weekend on-call rotations are required
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate if residing within a 60-mile radius
• No more than 7 days RTO (request time off) allowed per 13-week contract and none in the first two weeks
• Light green scrubs are required attire
