American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT (N) certification for a travel assignment at an academic teaching hospital in North Carolina.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Procedures include bone scans (whole body), lung perfusion and ventilation/perfusion scans, PET scans, HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies, and renal flow/function studies (with Lasix)
• Equipment includes GE and Siemens imaging systems
• Epic EMR experience required
• Monday through Friday day shift, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Current ARRT (N) and BLS certifications required; CNMT preferred
• All required certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable — compact or NC license must be in hand
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Proficiency with IV placement and maintenance
• Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies including PET, HIDA, gastric emptying, renal flow/function, bone scans, and lung perfusion/ventilation scans
• Start and maintain IVs as part of routine patient care responsibilities
• Candidates who were previously permanent employees of the health system must not have held that status within the past 6 months
• Wine or maroon colored scrubs required
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a reduced pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration, with a maximum of 5–7 days allowed
• 26-week contract
