American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment using Epic and Fuji Synapse.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department with 5 imaging rooms
• Imaging studies include X-ray, OR/C-arm, and fluoroscopy procedures
• Department uses Toshiba rad rooms, Carestream portables, and OEC C-arms
• EMR is Epic; PACS is Fuji Synapse
• Radiologists and residents are in-house 24/7
• High-volume department averaging 400 studies per day
• 3x12-hour day shifts per week; afternoon and night shifts also available
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• No float or coverage of other areas required
• No on-call or standby requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of X-ray technologist experience required
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• WV State License required if applicable
• Proficiency with C-arm and fluoroscopy required
• Experience with OR imaging strongly preferred
• A valid, unexpired driver's license is required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR/C-arm imaging procedures
• Residents are available in-house around the clock for radiologist support
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Department-specific orientation is provided
• A radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to the assignment start; the facility does not supply one
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to apply
• Travelers are not permitted to work within the WVU system for longer than a cumulative year; after reaching that threshold, a 2-year break is required before returning
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisor/peer references are required for consideration, including one supervisor reference if the candidate worked a permanent position within the last 12 months
• All candidates will interview directly with a unit manager
