American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active Oregon license and a minimum of 1 year of experience for a fast-paced Radiation Oncology department treating up to 95 patients per day across three treatment machines.

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• Fast-paced environment treating 70–95 patients per day across three treatment machines
• Advanced treatment modalities including SBRT, SRS, and Breath Hold Visual Management
• Equipment includes Varian TrueBeam, Edge, Trilogy, Acuity, and GE Lightspeed CT
• Uses Aria and Epic for electronic medical records
• Day shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 4x10-hour schedule
• 40 hours per week, 13-week contract
• May float to a nearby sister hospital
• No call required

Requirements

• Active Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) state licensure required — no pending applications; license required if applicable
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam or Edge and Aria required
• Epic EMR experience required — no exceptions
• Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• COVID vaccination required — no exemptions

Additional Information

• Simulate and administer radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and directed by the Radiation Physicist and Dosimetrist
• Responsibilities include patient positioning, portal image annotation, patient identification, and surveillance during treatment
• Construct immobilization devices, fabricate custom blocks, and perform RadCalc calculations for emergency treatments
• Participate in daily chart rounds and complete Aria chart checks per department policy
• Coordinate simulation with clinic to support continuity of care and assist with safe patient transfers using proper body mechanics
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and cannot be modified after submission; additional requests may result in cancellation
• Former facility employees must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
