American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year of experience for a day shift travel assignment in a hospital Radiology department in Saint Louis, MO.

• Hospital Radiology department setting in Saint Louis, MO
• Day shift, 5x8 schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekends required as needed by the facility
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed by the facility
• Equipment includes Versa HD, Accuray Radixact, CyberKnife, Flexitron HDR, and Siemens CT
• EMR systems include Mosaiq and Epic
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in radiation therapy
• 1 year of experience with Elekta or Accuray equipment required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform simulations, brachytherapy procedures, and deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Administer advanced treatment modalities including SABR, SRS, HDR brachytherapy, and gating techniques
• Perform daily imaging (kV/kV, cone beam, MV) and morning QA as assigned
• Maintain accurate treatment records and participate in weekly chart reviews
• Monitor patients daily for radiation-related side effects and report clinical progress to the radiation oncologist
• Facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center — the only one in the South County area
• Black scrubs required; must comply with the facility's M Wear dress code policy
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption is required for assignments between November 1 and April 1 — declinations are not accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completion, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
