American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience, including pediatric radiology, for a 16-week day shift assignment in Saint Louis, MO.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department, also serving ER and outpatient populations
• Patient population includes all types, including vented patients and anesthesia cases
• GE 1.5T and GE 3T MRI scanners in use
• Visage PACS system and Epic EMR
• 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating call coverage that may include 2–3 days per week, including weekends
• No float requirement
• 16-week assignment in Saint Louis, MO

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI/radiology experience required; pediatric radiology/imaging experience required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS and R.R.A. (Registered Radiologist Assistant) certifications required
• MRI Registry preferred
• Completion of an accredited Radiography program required
• GE 1.5T and 3T scanner experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills required
• Ability to push/pull up to 46 lbs of force, carry 25 lbs, grip up to 50 lbs, and perform occasional reaching, bending, and climbing
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
• License required, if applicable
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Performs specialized MRI procedures and produces diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation, while applying MR safety principles and providing essential patient care
• Must obtain advanced ARRT registry in MRI within 1 year of hire if not already held
• Orientation is conducted on day shift; traveler must be available the full orientation week
• Black scrubs required (top, bottoms, and jacket)
• Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center
