American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1 year of experience for a hospital OR position in South Carolina requiring NBSTSA certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital OR with 2 OR suites and 1 endoscopy room
• Surgical services include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cataracts, Podiatry, Minor Vascular, and Pain Clinic
• Schedule is Monday–Thursday 06:30–16:00 and Friday 06:00–12:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• NBSTSA certification required — this is the only certification recognized in South Carolina
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA only)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide scrub tech support across a range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, cataracts, podiatry, minor vascular, and pain procedures
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for each surgical intervention
• Clean, prepare, assemble, and store OR equipment and instruments
• Assist with stocking and inventorying supply cabinets
• Collaborate with the surgical team to meet patient perioperative care needs
• Work under the supervision of the RN to provide peri-operative patient care
