Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a major academic hospital in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a large hospital campus
• Day/night rotating shifts available: days 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and nights 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shift rotation may be required to meet operational needs of the unit
• Oncology patient population present on the unit; chemotherapy administration may be part of the role for qualified candidates
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Tele required prior to any travel experience
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (travel experience counts)
• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Experienced oncology nurses are encouraged to apply; training in chemotherapy administration will be provided to qualified and interested candidates
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system's locations, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment there
