Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced LTAC RN for a 13-week day shift travel assignment requiring vent/trach experience and active FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Chronic care unit (LTAC/Telemetry)
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or relevant RN experience required
• Hands-on vent and trach experience required
• Knowledge of central lines required
• Wound care experience preferred
• Full US SSN required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• No certification expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Provides shift-level accountability for patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Prior work at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process
