American Traveler is seeking an EP Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of EP Lab experience for a 13-week travel contract at a top-ranked acute care teaching hospital.

Details

• Electrophysiology Lab setting within a 748-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital ranked among the top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country
• Average daily caseload of 18 cases
• Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, head-up-tilt tests, cardioversion, internal loop recorder implants, atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, defibrillator), and device explants/lead extractions
• Charting in Cerner and GE Cardiolab; Pyxis used for medication dispensing
• Required equipment: Philips X-Ray, Siemens X-Ray, and GE Micropacer
• Preferred equipment: 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI), GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate ultrasound, Siemens ultrasound, GE ultrasound, and laser lead machine
• Schedule is either 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), with 2 days of late case coverage per week
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No floating requirement
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of EP Lab clinical experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and CCI RCES or RCIS certification required
• ARRT certification and fluoroscopy permit preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Required skills include EP Lab hemodynamic monitoring, ablations, EKG interpretation in inpatient and outpatient settings, obtaining vitals, and sinus node rhythm recognition
• Experience with Philips X-Ray, Siemens X-Ray, and GE Micropacer required
• Preferred skills include groin closure device use, peripheral procedures, and laser lead extraction
• Trauma or children's hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required for employment eligibility
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are considered for this position provided they have the required EP Lab experience
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
