American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Intermediate Care position in New York, requiring at least 1 year of telemetry experience and active NY RN licensure.

Details

• 4R-Progressive Care (PCU) unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, scheduled Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• Assignment length is 4 weeks
• Candidates will be assigned to the float team
• Every other weekend availability required at minimum; scheduling adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Clinical skills include insulin drips, cardiac drips, IV insertion, and post cardiac cath care
• Epic EMR experience is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; candidates with proof of a pending NY license will also be considered
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required — one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

• This position is interview-to-offer (ITO)
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR used, and facility type
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Vermont licensure is not required for consideration; candidates without VT licensure are accepted
