American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience for a Level I trauma center OR position in Charleston, SC, with experience in Neuro, ENT, and Robotics highly preferred.

Details

• Work in a 21-suite Main OR at a Level I trauma center, academic teaching, and Magnet-designated hospital
• Case mix includes Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics (da Vinci Xi), Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Up to 4 call shifts per month (end of shift through 7:00 AM)
• Schedule includes 1 weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) per month
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units or sister facilities, is required
• Charting via Epic
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Level I trauma center experience required
• License required if applicable
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Experience in Neuro (spine/craniotomy), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (da Vinci Xi) highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All RTO must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed prior to the assignment start date
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
• A parking permit is available for a one-time $20 registration fee, valid for use in the designated parking garage only
