American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit, requiring at least one year of Level 1 trauma experience and current PALS certification from the AHA.

Details

• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (Hem/Onc) unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the AHA required
• Current PALS certification from the AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Oncology experience is preferred
• Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and clinical procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses to interventions, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible to return
• Compliance requirements, including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements, must be initiated promptly upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
