American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric PACU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience, with floating and call coverage responsibilities on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Pediatric PACU unit in a hospital setting
• Level 1 trauma center experience required for this role
• Day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Floating required, including call coverage for the PACU at the Children's facility

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care and apply clinical techniques
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to interventions and treatments
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates with multidisciplinary team members and support staff
• Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply again; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
• This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon acceptance
• BSN is preferred but not required
