Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and proficiency across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, cardiothoracic, ENT, GYN, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology, general surgery, trauma, urology, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures
• Night shifts scheduled as either 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Weekend call required as needed
• Approximately 3–4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Any employment gaps exceeding 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
• 13-week contract
