Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience for a 13-week travel contract involving on-call responsibilities and a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Average daily census of 7–14 cases across 2 Cath Lab rooms
• Patient diagnoses include Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib, and Bradycardia
• Procedures include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), pacemaker insertion, loop monitors, TEE, and cardioversions
• Equipment used includes Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and IVUS
• Primary shift is 4x10 days (07:00–17:30) with one scheduled late shift per week (10:00–20:30) to accommodate cases that run over
• On-call shifts run Monday–Friday 17:30–07:00 and 24-hour on-call on weekends and holidays; approximately 10–13 call shifts per month
• Weekend work required based on departmental and on-call scheduling needs
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating to pre-op/PACU within the unit and specialty as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification required (can be completed on-site during orientation)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
• Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of the facility when scheduled for on-call shifts

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have a proven 3-year background in a cardiac cath lab
• Royal blue scrubs required
