American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an Adult Acute Care Radiation Therapy setting.

Details

• Day shift position, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Adult acute care work setting within a Radiation Therapy unit
• Procedures include External Beam Therapy and IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
• Pretreatment tasks include tumor localization, custom molds, custom shields, beam modifying/positioning, block cutting, B-Mode Acquisition targeting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, compensation filters, portal cast, and wedges
• Dose calculation and treatment planning are part of the role
• Treatment planning systems used include Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian)
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Weekends required as scheduled
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active SC state Radiation Therapist license required if applicable — note that candidates with a pending license will also be considered
• Current ARRT (T) and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in radiation therapy required
• Experience with adult patient populations including young adults, middle adults, and older adults
• Proficiency with radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE
• Ability to use lift/transfer devices and respond appropriately with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Responsibilities include treatment planning, dose calculation, and delivery of external beam therapy and IMRT
• Age-specific competency expected across young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations
• Charge experience is preferred but not required
