American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with active ARRT and BLS certifications and at least 1 year of experience for a hospital-based radiation oncology position using Epic.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program required
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience required
• Active state license required if applicable — candidates holding ARRT(R) or ARRT(RT) radiography certification will require Montana State Licensure
• Current ARRT and RT(T) certification in radiation therapy required
• Current AHA BLS certification required and must not expire prior to start
• English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions
• Responsible for patient simulation, immobilization device setup, cerrobend block fabrication, and treatment parameter documentation
• Verifies treatment MUs and beam energy, and documents cumulative and site-specific doses, billing information, and patient care plans
• Observes patients for unusual reactions during treatment and reinforces education provided by the oncologist and nursing staff
• Participates in quality assurance, patient safety initiatives, and completion of safety checklists
• Permanent staff previously employed at any Intermountain facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
