American Traveler is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a non-interventional cardiology position in Las Cruces, NM, requiring ARDMS/RDCS/RCS/ACS certification and experience with adult and pediatric echocardiography including TEEs.

Details

• Non-interventional cardiology unit at an acute care hospital in Las Cruces, NM
• Performs adult full and limited echos, TEE procedures (inpatient, outpatient, and ED), and pediatric echocardiography
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• EMR systems used: HMS and Freeland for echo reports
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• After-hours and weekend call rotation required
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Echo Tech experience required
• Current BLS, ARDMS certification required
• RDCS, RCS, or ACS credential required
• Active NM license required if applicable
• Experience with adult and pediatric echocardiography required
• Experience performing TEEs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must remain active for at least 30 days beyond the contract start date

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing adult full and limited echos, TEE procedures, cleaning TEE probes, writing preliminary echo reports, performing EKGs and Holter monitor hookups, and editing and filing cardiology records
• Pediatric echo experience is a plus
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• RTO blackout period applies in mid-May at the start of the contract
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
