American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist for a non-interventional cardiology unit, requiring ARDMS/RDCS/RCS/ACS certification and experience with adult and pediatric echocardiography including TEEs.

Details

• Non-interventional cardiology unit at an acute care hospital in Las Cruces, NM
• Performs adult full and limited echos, TEE procedures, and pediatric echocardiography for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• After-hours and weekend call rotation required
• No floating required
• EMR systems used: HMS and Freeland for echo reports
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent echo technologist experience required
• Current BLS required
• ARDMS certification required
• RDCS, RCS, or ACS certification required
• Experience with adult and pediatric echocardiography required
• Experience performing TEEs required
• NM state license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing adult full and limited echos, TEE procedures, cleaning TEE probes, and writing preliminary echo reports
• Pediatric echo experience is a plus
• Also responsible for performing EKGs and Holter monitor hookups and scanning, as well as editing, filing, and billing cardiology records
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• No RTO will be approved between May 6–18, 2026
• Candidates must have no gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
