American Traveler is seeking an NBSTSA-certified Surgical Technologist with 5+ years of experience and broad procedural proficiency — including trauma, neuro, and vascular — for a hospital OR position requiring call availability and preceptorship capability.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting with an 8-bed unit
• Required procedural proficiency includes General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head and Spine, and Trauma
• Preferred procedural experience includes C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and DaVinci Robot
• On-call availability is required for this position
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience is highly preferred
• Facility-provided scrubs

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience required — non-negotiable
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Demonstrated proficiency in General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro/Head and Spine, and Trauma procedures required
• Must be able to precept other staff
• Personal vehicle required
• 2 recent supervisory signed references from within the past 2 years of employment required — non-negotiable
• Skills checklist pertinent to the CST role, current within the past year, required
• License required if applicable
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Candidate must be willing and able to take call — applicants who cannot take call will not be considered
• Must be available to precept other staff members; preceptorship proficiency should be clearly documented
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests will not be approved after an offer is extended, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
