American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with broad multi-specialty scrub experience for a 13-week surgical services contract at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI.

Details

• Work in a 6-bed surgical unit at a 74-bed Level IV Trauma Center, Level II NICU, and Primary Stroke Center in Kenosha, WI
• Patient population includes orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, vascular, ENT, plastics, robotics, and podiatry cases
• 1:1 tech-to-patient ratio
• 8-hour day shift, 0700–1530 with 1-hour flex, 40 hours per week
• OR resource hours span 0715–1700 for 4 rooms and 0715–1900 for two rooms; time outside resource hours is covered by call teams
• Call requirement: every 9th weekend (end of shift Friday through 7am Monday) and every 5th weekday
• Floating may be required to Pleasant Prairie Surgery Center
• Charting is performed in Epic; Alaris and Pyxis are also used on the unit

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of surgical technology experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• CST credential from NBSTSA required
• BLS certification required
• Scrub proficiency required across multiple specialties: orthopedics, ENT, plastics, OB C-section, vascular, OBGYN robotics, general robotics, orthopedic robotics, urology, podiatry, sports medicine ortho, and ortho/neuro spine
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active license required if applicable
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, collected within the last year
• Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
• Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration
