American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1 year of surgical scrubbing experience for an evening shift position in a hospital Surgery Room in Kenosha, WI.

Details

• Work in a 6-bed hospital Surgery Room at a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Kenosha, WI
• Patient population includes orthopedic, general, OB/GYN, urology, vascular, ENT, plastics, robotics, podiatry, and sport medicine ortho cases
• Tech-to-patient ratio is 1:1
• 8-hour evening shift, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM with 1-hour flex
• 40 hours per week
• Floating may be required to Pleasant Prairie Surgery Center
• Call schedule requires every 9th weekend (end of shift Friday through 7:00 AM Monday) and every 5th weekday
• Holiday coverage expectations vary based on need and specialty
• Charts using Epic (experience required); also uses Alaris and Pyxis

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent core surgical technologist experience required
• Scrubbing proficiency across orthopedics, ENT, plastics, OB C-section, vascular, OBGYN robotics, general robotics, orthopedic robotics, urology, podiatry, sport medicine ortho, and ortho/neuro spine
• BLS certification required
• CST certification through NBSTSA required
• Active license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

• Scrub all assigned surgical cases across a broad range of specialties including robotic-assisted procedures
• Orientation consists of at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
• Unit support includes a charge nurse, 24/7 on-call MD, HUC on day shift, and anesthesia-managed telemetry monitoring
