Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a day-shift surgical services position requiring BLS and CST certifications, with experience across a broad patient population including pediatric through geriatric cases.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Performs surgical scrub duties for geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric patient populations, including trauma cases
• Responsibilities include picking cases, cleaning instruments and OR rooms, and monitoring and stocking OR inventory
• Every other weekend coverage is required
• Call is required
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience required
• CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid California license required if applicable
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Additional Information

• Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients according to hospital standards and policies
• Provides patient care with consideration of developmental, psychosocial, safety, and communication needs across all age groups
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Previous employees of this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years are required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications are required for consideration
