American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience for a day shift position at a small community hospital with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Details

• Work in a small community hospital with 58 licensed beds and a single MRI imaging room
• Primarily outpatient population with 1–3 inpatients seen per day; predominantly adult and geriatric patients with occasional ED and behavioral health patients
• Average of 7–11 patients seen in the department per day
• Uses a GE MRI machine; PACS experience required (no specific system necessary)
• Epic EMR; experience required
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with no weekend or on-call requirements
• Possibility of working 1 holiday; shift hours remain the same
• May assist with X-rays if experienced and comfortable, though not required
• Expected to assist with patient lifting within the department when not occupied with imaging duties

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of MRI experience required; most recent experience must be within the last year
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(MR) certifications required
• Current BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Strong clinical MRI skills required; patience and interpersonal skills with geriatric and behavioral health patients are highly valued
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are considered on a case-by-case basis with manager approval; travel experience is preferred
• Orientation includes a hospital orientation session followed by a full week of training with another MRI Tech; travelers are not left unattended during the first two weeks
• Lead tech and manager are present on the unit; a tech assistant is available when staffing allows
• Schedule is released every 6 weeks; RTO requires full manager approval
• Black scrubs and closed-toe nursing or tennis shoes are required
• Free parking is available on site
• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• A manager interview is required as part of the hiring process
