American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in Bangor, ME, with OR/C-arm experience required and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Work in an inpatient/outpatient imaging department at a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving a large regional area including air transport patients
• Imaging department includes 2 general X-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy room, and OR C-arm coverage
• Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric and neonatal cases
• Care areas include outpatient, inpatient (ED, ICU, Med/Surg), and the operating room
• Procedures include fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, orthopedic and ortho trauma imaging, ICU and ER imaging
• Equipment includes Siemens Ysio, Siemens Multix Fusion, Siemens Artis Zee fluoroscopy unit, OEC/Siemens/Ziehm C-arms in OR, and Shimadzu DR portable units
• EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
• 36 hours per week on a variable shift schedule
• Weekend rotation based on departmental need
• No call required
• Holidays covered on a rotating basis with other techs

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• ARRT (R) certification required
• Current BLS required
• Maine state license or compact license required if applicable
• OR/C-arm experience required
• Experience with outpatient, inpatient (ED, ICU, Med/Surg), and OR patient populations required
• Must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME
• Must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
• 2 professional references within the past year required, at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse (no peer references)
• Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for clearance

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered depending on the type of experience
• Orientation is approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level
• Traveler is fixed to one location except when covering OR or inpatient portable scans
• Schedules are built on a 4-week rotation to the best of the department's ability; specific shifts vary based on need
• Department support includes a Lead Tech, department administration, internal transport, and an on-site radiologist
• All RTO requests require manager approval and must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• Scrubs may be any solid, professional color; facility scrubs are available if needed
• Free parking on site
• Candidates who have traveled north of Bangor, ME (100+ miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
