Description

American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with an active RPSGT credential for a night shift travel contract in a hospital-based sleep lab setting.

Details

• Hospital-based polysomnography / sleep lab unit
• Night shift schedule: Wednesday through Friday, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Orientation week includes a Monday day shift (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) followed by departmental training Tuesday through Thursday nights before transitioning to the standard Wed–Fri schedule
• Meditech charting experience is not required
• Float within the hospital per facility policy

Requirements

• Current RPSGT credential issued by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, in good standing
• NC State Polysomnographic Technologist license required — license must be at least pending with ETA clearly stated
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Associate's degree in Polysomnography preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must register annually with the North Carolina Medical Board as a Polysomnographic Technologist
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Individuals who are current or former employees of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Any requested time off must be disclosed upfront
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
