American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and CA licensure to perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures.

• 13-week assignment in a Nuclear Medicine department
• Adult patient population
• Day shift, 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour meal break
• Monday through Friday schedule with no call or weekend requirements
• Uses GE equipment
• Performs PET scans including FDG whole body and skull to thigh imaging
• Cerner charting system experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required, with at least 1 year in an acute care setting
• Any specialty unit experience must be within the last 2 years
• ARRT (N) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid, active CA state license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted); license required if applicable
• NMTCB certification preferred
• PET certification required
• Cerner charting system experience required and must be noted in work history
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Skilled in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials
• Must pass EKG exam within 3 attempts

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing PET scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling permitted
• No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
• All RTO must be finalized and submitted with the application and cannot be changed afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• Manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement
