American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active NJ license and ARRT certification for a hospital Radiation Oncology department, with strong preference for experience in IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and CBCT.

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department setting
• Day shift schedule: 8am–4pm, Monday through Friday
• 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day
• 13-week contract
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
• No on-call required
• Uses MOSAIQ for treatment management and record verification
• EPIC used for charting
• Modalities include IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT

Requirements

• Active NJ Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT certification and registration
• Successful completion of an approved Radiation Therapy program
• Experience with IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT strongly preferred
• Ability to perform IGRT, respiratory gating, and CT simulation
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver planned radiation therapy treatments with minimal supervision while maintaining patient communication throughout
• Perform CT simulation following department and site-specific protocols, including SBRT simulation, respiratory gating, and ACQ sim
• Conduct daily and monthly linac and CT QA, as well as portal imaging
• Responsibilities include constructing immobilization devices, electron and cerrobend blocks, and properly billing for special devices and simulation procedures
• Maintain and verify treatment calendars, prescriptions, patient schedules, DRRs, and portal imaging in MOSAIQ
• Attend weekly chart rounds and document all treatment plan changes accurately
• Follow ALARA radiation protection principles for patients and staff
• Operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery and create electronic IGRT shift tracking documentation in MOSAIQ
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
• Scrubs and department dress code compliance required
