American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with a Maine or compact license and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a Level II Trauma Center Radiation Oncology department in Bangor, ME.

Details

• Radiation Oncology department at a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving a large regional area
• Outpatient and inpatient care settings with a primarily adult and geriatric population and very few pediatric cases
• Average of 90 patients seen per day across three linacs
• Equipment includes three Varian TrueBeam LINACs and one Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator
• EMR: Mosaiq (experience preferred)
• Schedule options include five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days plus one half day
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage done in rotation with other techs
• Floating coverage across linacs as needed
• RTO requests require manager approval
• 4-week schedules provided to the best of the facility's ability

Requirements

• Active Maine state Radiation Therapy license or compact license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS and ARRT (T) certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiation Therapy required, depending on type of experience
• Mosaiq EMR experience preferred
• Varian TrueBeam LINAC experience preferred
• Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
• Two references within the past year required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse (peer references not accepted)
• Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments using Varian TrueBeam LINACs in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Orientation period of approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks, adjusted based on experience and comfort level
• Scrubs in any solid professional color are acceptable; scrubs may be provided by the facility if needed

• Medical exemptions only are accepted for flu vaccination and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review
• Candidates living 100+ miles north of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis with individual approval
