American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic and da Vinci experience for a hospital Operating Room position requiring prior travel experience.

• Full-time position in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Weekend, call, and holiday coverage is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel experience required
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• Hands-on scrubbing experience required
• Da Vinci robotic surgical system experience required
• Completed and approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience, with successful achievement on a medications exam
• Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instrumentation used in an OR setting
• Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• 2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — from within the past year and relevant to the surgical specialty — required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Work under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting with nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient
• Perform technical scrub duties with precise and efficient response to all intraoperative situations
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining a sterile surgical field and ensuring surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely
• May be asked to precept new staff members
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
