Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level IV Trauma Center in Vernal, UT, requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• 13-week travel contract on a Med/Surg unit within a 39-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Rotating every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 18-bed Med/Surg unit with a patient ratio of 4–6:1
• Patient population ranges from 28 days old to end of life, including pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, heart failure, orthopedic surgeries, and general surgeries
• Equipment includes Linet beds, bladder scanner, interpreter device, and Masimo monitoring
• EMR: MedHost
• Floating to other departments is required based on staffing needs
• Must be willing to work 4 shifts per week during the first half of the assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license — UT or compact state license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Receiving Facility, Chest Pain Accredited, and holds a 5-star CMS rating
• Orientation is held monthly during the second full week of the month, Monday through Thursday
• Solid-color scrubs only; no patterns or non-scrub attire permitted
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
