American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with active TX licensure and a minimum of 2 years of experience for an 8-week travel contract at an outpatient Radiation Oncology department in College Station, TX.

Details

• Outpatient Radiation Oncology department setting in College Station, TX
• Standard schedule is 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 0800–1700; however, candidates must be flexible as department hours are being extended with the addition of a new provider — daily start and end times may shift based on scheduled appointments
• Ambulatory and hospital patient population spanning newborn through geriatric age groups
• Experience with TrueBeam and Vision RT equipment utilized in this department

Requirements

• Active TX-MRT license required if applicable
• Current ARRT (T) certification required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience
• Experience with TrueBeam and Vision RT strongly preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions are granted
• Date of birth and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in accordance with established exam protocols
• Position, prepare, and adjust immobilization devices and equipment controls for each patient treatment
• Communicate effectively with patients and families using AIDET to explain procedures, assess tolerance, and establish rapport
• Maintain accurate treatment and imaging records in the appropriate system per department standards
• Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance and assist with supply inventory
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique requirements
• May serve as preceptor for new team members
• Call may be required based on departmental need
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers accepted
