American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care (IMCU) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center in Atlanta, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Details

• Work setting is a 7L Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) / medical step-down unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Unit census ranges from 16–20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact state license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases is required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
