American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care (IMCU) night shift position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Atlanta, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

Details

• Position is in a medical step-down/intermediate care unit (IMCU)
• Unit has 16–20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient population includes Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 4 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations
