American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position at a Level 1 Trauma acute care facility in Nebraska, requiring strong circulating and technical skills for advanced procedures.

• GI/Endoscopy Lab position in an acute care hospital setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Advanced procedures include EUS, ERCP, and other complex endoscopic cases requiring strong circulating and scrub/tech skills
• EMR system is Epic; recent Epic experience within the last 6 months is helpful and noted during orientation planning
• Schedule is four 10-hour day shifts per week plus one weekday call shift, with weekend call every 4–5 weeks
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NE state or Compact (NLC) RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong GI/Endoscopy circulating and scrub/tech skills required, particularly for advanced procedures such as EUS and ERCP
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Candidates must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates, as determined by driver's license address
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• A pass/fail, open-book skills exam is administered on the first Friday of orientation — a minimum score of 90% is required to continue the assignment
• Orientation is approximately 12 hours
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result to termination of contract
• RTO must be disclosed upfront; no more than 7 days of RTO will be approved per 13-week contract, and no additional RTO will be approved after submission
