American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Med/Surg Telemetry position in San Marcos, TX, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic, colorectal, urology, sepsis, small bowel obstruction (SBO), and geriatric/gynecology cases
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or via a compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Responsible for patient and family education, including identifying learning needs and available resources
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications must be current and active — expired certifications will result in disqualification
