Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) travel assignment requiring 2+ years of Level III NICU experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 21-bed NICU and 16-bed SCN within a Level IV NICU facility
• Patient ratios of 1:2 in the NICU and 1:3-4 in the SCN
• High-risk deliveries are not attended by travelers in this role
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Floating to Newborn Nursery (NBN), SCN, Peds, and PICU for appropriate assignments
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting system: Epic
• Preferred specialized equipment includes jet ventilators, oscillators, ECMO, UAB, CriticalCool body cooling, and transport reception

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of current Level III NICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; PALS preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Previous RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
