American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health/Psych night shift position at a hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI, requiring an active WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient Behavioral Health/Psych unit within a hospital and trauma center setting
• Adult psychiatric patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every-other-weekend schedule required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Degree in Nursing required (education verification required)
• Prior psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice act
• Documents patient care according to standards of care
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Applies critical thinking skills to support patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
