American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and 1+ year of clinical experience for a 13-week hospital-based assignment working day shifts Monday through Friday.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Therapy department
• Daily patient caseload of 25–40 patients
• Day shift schedule: 5x8s, Monday–Friday, approximately 10:30am–6:30pm
• Weekend coverage only required under exceptional circumstances such as inclement weather
• No on-call requirements
• No floating to other units or sister facilities
• Uses Aria and Align RT for charting; EPIC EMR also in use
• CT/SIM experience preferred

Requirements

• Active South Carolina Radiation Therapist license required; candidates with a pending license may be considered, but must be fully licensed prior to starting
• AHA BLS, ARRT(T), and SCRQSA certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical radiation therapy experience required; 2+ years preferred
• Proficiency operating a linear accelerator required
• CT simulator (CT/SIM) experience preferred
• Experience with Aria and Vision RT required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; requests of 7 days or fewer of non-holiday RTO are generally approved, while requests exceeding 7 days or including holidays require facility approval
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• Black pants with a teal top, or all-black scrubs required
• A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to the assignment start but is not guaranteed
