Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with broad OR experience including Thoracic, Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics for a 13-week hospital OR position in Virginia.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with 11 surgical suites averaging 25–35 cases per day
• Cases include Ortho (total joints, sports medicine, fractures), Neuro (spine and cranial procedures including craniotomies, tumor resections, and brain biopsies), Maxillofacial, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Colo-Rectal, General, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Breast
• Uses Epic EMR
• Neuro navigation system Stealth is used for applicable cases
• 12-hour shifts, 11:00am–11:30pm, 36 hours per week
• Approximately 5–6 call shifts per assignment period, including overnight and weekend call
• Holiday coverage expected, including 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
• Experience in Thoracic, Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics required
• Familiarity with Stealth navigation system required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required
• BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Active Virginia (VA) license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation is 1 week for day/evening shift and 2 weeks for night shift
• Scrub into a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment across 11 surgical suites
• All approved RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration to avoid processing delays
