American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with current pediatric OR experience for a hospital-based pediatric operating room position at a large academic medical center.

Details

• Large academic medical center with 500+ bed facility
• Pediatric OR unit providing a full range of surgical services including cardiac, general, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, and trauma
• Day shift, four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with no set schedule
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required per unit protocol, averaging 4–6 calls per 6-week schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Epic EMR used in a scrub role

Requirements

• Current, active pediatric OR experience required
• Minimum of 4–5 years of surgical technologist experience
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program required; certification (CST) is not required
• Experience in a 500+ bed facility required
• BLS certification required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Candidates must clear all onboarding requirements by 5:00 PM the Thursday prior to the orientation start date
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
