Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 12-week acute care contract requiring 2+ years of experience, ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification, and the ability to perform on-call and rotating shifts across two campuses.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Nuclear Medicine department
• Department currently operates 1 scanner (Siemens Symbia T6), with a second in process of being replaced
• Common studies include cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans
• Average of 12 studies per day, including 2 cardiac studies
• IV starts are required
• Charting systems include MEDITECH EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS
• Radiologist is in-house until 5:00 PM, with remote reads until midnight
• 8-hour rotating day shifts, typically starting at 7:00 AM
• 40 hours per week with every-other-weekend (EOW) requirement
• On-call is required
• Holiday coverage is required
• First to float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart, as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required — pending certifications are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Active state license required at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted; license required if applicable
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• IV start proficiency required

Additional Information

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans
• Department orientation is provided
• Black scrubs are required
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result to termination
