American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with neuro and total joint experience for a hospital OR position requiring on-call availability.

Details

• Work in an 11-room hospital Operating Room department
• Three twelve-hour shifts, 5:00 PM-1:30 AM
• On-call requirement averaging 5-6 shifts per 4-week period
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Team includes an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs on day shift
• Night shift staffed with one charge RN and one scrub tech in-house with call team backup
• Uses a variety of OR beds and equipment
• Epic EMR used
• Typical procedures include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi Robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general)
• Minimal ENT, dental, eye, or plastics cases

Requirements

• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty
• Da Vinci Xi Robotic experience required
• Spinal fusion experience (orthopedic or neuroservice) required
• Orthopedic experience including Total Joint Arthroplasty required
• Neuro experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Serve as a patient advocate throughout surgical procedures
• Positive, team-oriented personality preferred
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
• No floating required
