American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric/Fetal Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech III) with 7–10 years of cardiac ultrasound experience and RDCS or RCS credentialing for a pediatric cardiology setting.

Details

• Pediatric and fetal cardiology echo unit within a children's hospital setting
• Performs complex congenital heart and fetal echocardiograms independently
• May require travel between cardiology clinic locations for fetal imaging coverage
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation covering Monday through Sunday, 3 weeks of the contract

Requirements

• 7–10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience
• Experience performing pediatric/congenital echocardiograms independently
• RDCS or RCS credential required, or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, completion of a 2–4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments
• Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Independently analyzes imaging data and presents findings to cardiologists and physicians
• Assists with special and invasive cardiac procedures
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures and findings
• Responsible for maintaining echocardiography equipment and supporting quality improvement initiatives
• ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential preferred
• Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
