Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT-T certification and 1+ year experience for a hospital radiation oncology position with Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon equipment.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology setting, primarily at one location with possible float to a sister facility
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend requirement
• On-call requirement with possible extended stand-by hours
• Uses Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon, and Elekta Versa HD treatment units
• Uses ARIA and Epic for EMR, with HexaPOD and BrainLab equipment
• Performs treatments including IMRT, SRS, external beam therapy, and respiratory gating
• Treats various cancer types including Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, kidney, pancreatic, and testicular cancers

Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable; pending state license accepted
• ARRT-T certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist, 3-5 years preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Skilled in chart check, lift/transfer devices, and patient/family teaching
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments using advanced modalities including SRS and IMRT
• Provide patient and family education throughout treatment course
• Open to first-time travelers
• Maximum RTO of 7 total days within the 13-week assignment
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not accepted
