American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a critical access hospital's General OR, requiring 2 years of experience and CST or NCCT certification.

Details

• Work in a critical access hospital's General OR at a Level IV Trauma Center
• 5-bed unit supporting a variety of surgical specialties
• Case types include ortho total joints and arthroscopies, general surgery (cholecystectomies, hernias, appendectomies, bowel resections), urology cystoscopies, ENT (tonsillectomies, myringotomies), OB/GYN (C-sections, tubals, hysterectomies), and GI procedures (EGDs, colonoscopies)
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Schedule fluctuates based on surgical volume and requires flexibility
• Weekend rotation required approximately every third weekend
• On-call required approximately every 2nd-3rd night and every 2nd-3rd weekend
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist required
• CST or NCCT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Skills in gynecologic, general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, urologic, and ENT procedures preferred
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, including at least one supervisor reference

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted, and candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Scrubs provided in any color by the facility

• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if a Washington state license is still in process at time of offer
