American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Tech with 2+ years experience and required ERCP skills for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital's GI/Endoscopy department handling inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with staggered start times of 0700-1730 and 0900-1930
• Procedures performed include colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and EUS
• Responsibilities include bedside endoscope cleaning and scope reprocessing, ordering supplies, and preparing scopes for repair send-out
• Also supports out-of-department procedures in CCU
• Utilizes Olympus GI equipment and OER Pro reprocessors
• On-call requirements average 1-2 weekends per month and 1-2 weekdays, with weekday call running from shift end until 0700 the next day and weekend call running 24 hours until Monday at 0700
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience required
• ERCP skills are required
• BLS certification required; ACLS also required
• License required if applicable
• Compact license accepted at time of submission, but AK state license required prior to start for acute specialties
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience cleaning and caring for scopes and instruments including colonoscopes, EGD scopes, ERCP scopes, and flexible sigmoidoscopes required
• Experience with bronchoscopes, EBUS, and enteroscopes preferred
• Proficiency in high-level disinfection (HLD) and infection control procedures
• Aseptic technique skills required
