American Traveler is hiring a Monitor Technician for a remote patient monitoring department requiring 1+ years of monitor tech experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Supports a new acute care remote patient monitoring department reviewing AI-enabled biometric alerts
• Centralized telemetry monitoring as well as on-the-unit monitoring in ICU and telemetry settings
• Day shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Will accept 36 or 48 hour schedules
• 13 week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of monitor tech experience
• BLS certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in rhythm interpretation including heart blocks, atrial fibrillation, PVCs, ventricular arrhythmias, and pacemaker rhythms
• Skilled in 3 and 5 lead placement, Lead II and MCL1 setup
• Experience with GE, Philips, and Spacelabs monitoring systems
• Must be able to communicate rhythm variances to nursing and physician personnel
• Must complete a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing using a PC (iOS devices not compatible)

Additional Information

• Review AI-enabled biometric alerts and escalate signs of patient deterioration to bedside teams
• Enter and verify orders in the computer system
• Maintain and print rhythm strips for patient charts
• Troubleshoot monitoring alarms and perform regular equipment maintenance
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Place and transfer patients within the cardiac monitoring system
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• First-time travelers will be considered
